We see from the 10 year chart that Alcoa has recently been stopped by strong resistance from 2002/2003 and is now testing the long term trend line. If it can get above these resistances price could move more freely to the upside because of the lack of price volume in those areas. We also see that the last upswing is about half the height of the previous/first one in the major channel, and that this could indicate that this trend is soon over. From the 1 year chart we see that price has touched the trend line two times and is still moving in an intermediate bearish channel. A low risk bet can be placed on Alcoa now or when the intermediate channel is broken on the upside. |
